LIM Summer Fashion Lab | | Day 1: Move In | | 2015

Hello Beauties,

So as promised I am writing all about my experiences at the summer fashion program I am attending.

I have been here one day and I already Love it lol.

Surprisingly Move In day was painless and I only say that because the camp I went to last summer, took a lot longer. I was pretty adamant about getting there on time, just so that my mom and uncle could be in and out and wouldn't have to spend all day in my room lol.

My mom kept making fun of me because I had my huuuuuge suitcase, like a super massive one and she kept saying that I would be the only person with that type of suitcase. To be honest I'm pretty sure I brought less than most people. I mean people packed stuff as if they were going to be there for a year lol. It was honestly insane. So I am definitely glad that I was able to fit everything into one suitcase and then just have an extra bag for food.

The actual process was super easy, we were second in line and just provided our name and they gave up our key card and info that we needed for living in the dorm. After that a super nice guy helped us move all of my crap   stuff into the dorm. My mom and uncle stayed for a while and helped me get a little settled in. My roommate hadn't arrived yet, so we went out to the local store and got just little things that I forgot.

Once I walked my mom and uncle out of the building and giving them a proper goodbye (no tears I swear). I walked back up to my room and my roommate was there with her mom!!!

Her mom was super cool and nice. She was staying for two weeks so she had a lot more stuff than I did. While they unpacked, I unpacked as well and made conversation.

Once her mom left we had to go to orientation.

Orientation went like this:

  1. Stand up, state your name and something interesting about you
  2. split everyone up by groups by last name
  3. give a tour of the dorm building
  4. then give a walking tour of how to get to and from your classes.
  5. then come back and enjoy the rest of your night until curfew.

When we finally got back, My roommate and I decided to go get some food because we were both starving. I hadn't eaten much that day.

We went to this amazing place in Times Square call Ellens StarDust Diner. The food was great and the waitstaff sang the whole time. They sang showtunes and songs from musicals. I absolutely loved it. Our waitress sang a song from Frozen!!!

I was completely wiped when I came back to the dorm. I went to update my blog but the wifi is so sucky!!!  (I'm writing this post in the dorms computer lab lol.) I ended up just calling my mom and grandma and going to sleep.

Hope you guys like this update. If you live in the united states, you should definitely do this next year if you have an interest in fashion. You don't even have to be from the united states. There''s a girl that came all the way from Paris!!!
