Pride | Twenty Sixteen

Hey Babes,

I am so excited to start off this summer with my favorite event of the year!! This day is filled with joy, love, fun and a lot of craziness. For the past 4 years, I've been making my way toward NYC for the Pride parade, and it never disappoints. This year of course, was different than most because of the recent events that have effected the LGBTQ community. I for one, was shocked and devastated. Not only by the mass shooting that occurred, but by the constant fear the LGBTQ community still lives in because of the ignorant and simple minded people that live in America. I continuously pray that life will become easier for them, because they are such a beautiful and well rounded community and they deserve so much more than than how they're treated.

The parade of course, was amaze-balls.  Representatives from all different types of groups, religions, and companies came to show support and love by walking in the parade and yelling out "HAPPY PRIDE" with the biggest of smiles on their faces.

Every year, pride gets better and better and this year they absolutely outdid themselves.

Meeting Gigi Gorgeous was probably the highlight of my YEAR!!! I have been following her since the beginning of her transition and I feel like I've grown with her. I got to watch her go from an beautiful and amazing person, to a more crazy beautiful and amazing person who loves who they are and is more comfortable in their own skin. The crowd around me actually helped get her attention for me so that I could take a picture with her. She was so beautiful and Kind and I will never forget that moment.

Glitter Beards are always a must. As all of you know, I'm obsessed with glitter, so seeing a man doused in it was amazing.

I would like to apologize to all my readers who have probably been annoyed with my flakiness. I know I haven't been keeping up with my schedule but this summer is definitely going to change. I have so many posts lined up and I am so excited for you to see it!!!

Thanks so much for reading!!!

  1. Gigi is such a doll! So jealous you got to meet and take a photo with her! Happy you and everyone else was safe attending Pride. You never know and it's sad we have to fear doing something fun.
